CHATEAU D’ORIGNAC

Chateau d'Orignac, a family home, has been producing grapes for at least 800 years. The 20 hectare vineyard is located in the heart of the "Cognac Fins Bois" appellation on limestone slopes near the Gironde estuary, 50kms south of Cognac, and is planted to Cabernet, Merlot, Ugni Blanc and Colombard. Through attentive, rigorous and meticulous viticultural management, winemaker Hervé Meyer and his son Yvan seek a balance between climate, soil and vine to produce fruit of great maturity and richness and ensure that the products of Château d'Orignac remain the jewels of its exceptional terroir.
