CHATEAU LA TOUR CARNET

Chateau La Tour Carnet, located in the Haut-Medoc appellation of Bordeaux, is one of ten Quatriemes Crus (Fourth Growths) in the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. Since 2000, the vineyard has been owned by Bernard Magrez, a proprietor of many Bordeaux estates, who has restored the estate’s chateau, cellars, and vines. The estate, with over 300 hectares of land and about half under vine, is one of the largest in the region. The vines are around 30 years old, and Merlot vines slightly outnumber Cabernet Sauvignon. All of the wines are aged in oak barrels for 18 months, and annual production is approximately 15,000 cases.
